I've had my N900 for a few months now, and it is an OK unit hardware-wise - what makes it great is the Maemo Linux and the possibilities of the operating system and the Qt-platform. I hope that MeeGo will not be a fumble, it has a lot to live up to - so far I looks rather good. Am looking forward to other manufactorers launching MeeGo devices - that will make it really fun developing stuff.

Right now I have some Java-projects to finish. When they are - I'm planning to explore the Qt-Mobile framework, the Qt-Creator looks like a fine tool. BTW I just saw an Icedtea6 JDK in the Maemo repo, looks intrieging.

It's nice to see the the many new members in this forum. This means that many are not normal end users, but also is technologically curious concerning their N900 and Maemo/MeeGo/Qt. This is the true strength of N900/MeeGo/Maemo and separates Maemo/MeeGo users from the millions of iPhone-consumers.

Yes I love my N900 - last week I didn't even start up my stationary PC - checked my mail on the N900.
