I found a BL-5J GOLD BATTERY-1930 mAH on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HIGH-CAP-GOLD-BL-5J-BATTERY-FOR-NOKIA-N900_W0QQitemZ320508127680QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_MobilePhones_MobilePhoneAccessories_MobilePhoneBatteries?hash=item4a9fc5e9c0

Has anyone used one if these, would it be alright and a worth while upgrade??
Or is there something better??

I had a look on-line, but could find no reference to it anywhere, but I am very interested in anything that will extend the life of my favorite device.

hello everyone! i have 2 of these batteries that i bought from ebay. to tell you the truth, they last a lot longer than the original battery than my N900 came with. i don't see any errors on it either. i remember when i had my N97 and bought a nameless battery from ebay. it makes my phone slower and gives me errors, not only that, it wouldn't hold a charge. but this, this is what i need for this beautiful phone i have now! so, if you decide on getting one, DO IT! it won't disappoint you!

i've had it for 2.5 weeks now. one battery has been charged 5 to 6 times now. i wish i have a charger/dock for it. i have to remove the OEM battery from the phone then put the Gold battery on the phone to charge.

Hi

While I am loathe to contradict animest4r, my experience with this battery after a weeks use, is that that it's performance is very similar to the OEM one. I have not experienced any extended operating time with it.

I believe that we shall have to wait until batteries with really extended performance become available and they will be larger and require a replacement battery cover to cope with their size like the Mugen offering. This will be a familiar story to those, like me, who had the N95 family of handsets!

Be happy
Jim

i agree with jimgordan. if animest4r chrged one battery 5 to 6 times in 2 and half weeks it cant be al that great. my ariginal battery has been charged about 7 times in the past 2.5 weeks so what s the point in buying the gold one...waste of money i think.

but i will love to find a battery that gives us at least 2 days hardcore working time. maybe some brainiac will develop a battery saving application for us.
