Nokia is conducting a beta test of Nokia Ovi Suite release 2.2, see this post at Nokia Support Discussions. Excerpt:
Registration for Beta Test of Nokia Ovi Suite release 2.2 has started!
We are especially looking for Nokia N900 and MS Outlook 2010 users. We will tell more about the new features and improvements in Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2 when the testing starts.

Sounds like the NOS will have full N900 support.

Then whats missing - hmm yes OVI-support and Linux desktop support - funny that you only can update the firmware of your Linux-device using Windows or MacOS.

you can update firmware from linux oO nokia provide a very good cli tool. I have used it to get the latest firmware

an ovi suite for nix would be nice

hm...semms either your link is down or they already stopped registration, as the page isn't available anymore...

Is there an ETA on the NOS 2.2, like Q2 or something (I just discovered that sync with Thunderbird will be supported) ??
