Hi Guys....I just bought N900 two days ago and I am loving it. I am experiencing a few problems,I hope you can help me with them.

1; I used jabbar for chatting on facebook through my N900....At first it was working fine but then I started experiencing a problem that, i cant send messages to my friends(means my facebook contacts are unable to receive the messages i send them, althought I am able to receive their messages....I wonder what is the problem  Angry...MSN,YAHOO, and Skype work fine but why Facebook...I hope you can help me :S

2; The earphones which i receive with my N900 are just awesome so I decided to run them on my PC...WHen I connected it through the headphone jack...I started experiencing this problem that I can listen to music clearly...as i am only able to hear the background sound but not clearly the guy singing the song ...I dont know whats the problem with it but it works fine untill i keep on holding and keep pressing the button that is on the wire of the earphone...(i Dont even know what that botton is used for) Anyways the music and all the other songs works fine on the N900 through the earphone...I guess the earphones that i got with the N900 are just not compatible with the PC....Anyways the operating system i use is Windows 7...Can anyone help me Sad

I'm not too sure why you're having the problem with Facebook chat, I seem to have it working on my N900.

Regarding the earphones, if you're using the one which are bundled with the N900 on the PC, it will not work well, since the connectors on the earphones have an extra connector which is supposed to be for the mic on the headset. Due to this it won't work well with a regular headphone connector on the PC, unless you insert it and keep it at a certain angle Smiley

Good point for the second question....I was able to fix this by inserting the pin of the earphone into the headphon jack of my pc (Half) So that the microphone dosent work.....So Thanx for helping me with this....  Cheesy


Anyways what about the facebook Sad....I really want to chat with my facebook contacts on my N900 Sad

With regards to Facebook, it may not be a problem with your phone or browser, but with Facebook itself.
Basically it's been a pig since they did all the changes a couple years back and it seems to be under maintenance 24/7 in one way or another. They could be messing about with one server one day and your account is working fine but your friends account isn't. Then the following day it could be the other way around because they've decided to mess about with the server that hosts your account.

Give it a week and it may sort itself out.
