N900 not recogmising headset

Hi. I'm using my nokia BH214 (bluetooth). When the battery starts to get low, I pull the headset out of the Nokia BH 214
and plug it directly into my N900. However, it takes me numerous times to put it in and out of my N900 before it even knows a headset is there. It never did this before. It's only been like this for the past few weeks. Has anyone had this problem? Can someone please, help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

P.s. sometimes no matter how many times I reconnect the headset to my N900, it dose'nt recognise it.

I just heard from another user who is having issues with the 3.5mm audio jack.

Mine works without a problem.

Have you tried another headset/speakers?

thanks for getting back to me.

You're right. It works when I put another headset in.

It's wierd though. The same headset works fine in the Nokia bluetooth headset.

I too have the same problem when i am using blutooth hedset Dell BH200 I am able to hear audios from the songs. But when i make a call the blutooth doesn't recognise and gets switched off. what shall i do. The same blutooth BH200 works with Nokia 5800 music xpress, Blackberry Bold. can any one sugget me pls.
