Hey everybody,

So I just bought a pair of earphones, Creative Hs-730i to be precise.
After plugging them in, I noticed an annoying screeching sound coming from both ears, and I never had this problem with any of the earphones I used on my N900.
Now I also tried a pair of the Apples earphones, the onces with a built in volume control, and microphone, and they also emit this annoying screeching sound.

So I was wondering, does the N900 have problems have problems in General with some earphones coming with microphones? Or is there by any chance an option which I can try to solve this?
Might my input be somewhat broken?

Hopefully anybody can help me with this problem.
Since I'll be going on holiday next week I need either a new pair earphones, or a solution.
