As far as I'm awaree, Nokia PC Suite version 7.1.40.1 seems to work with the N900, as in it detects and rubs well with the N900, though from experence not all of the features are currently compatable (such as backup not recognising the N900).

As Nokia support will tell you, you should only use Nokia PC Suite_7.1.30.9 with the N900. You can't even drag and drop with 7.1.40.1!

Thats fine! I've meerly been going on what I've found experence with personally from following download links. Glad there's a more suitable version!

Hi all
in reply to questions regarding OVI suite and PC suite none are fully compatible with the N900 and having searched the net it looks like we are gonna have to wait for some kinda software update before we can use all of these. In the meantime a great tip i learnt on my travels through the many N900 discussion forums is that when you want to transfer photos from your PC onto your N900 choose the Mass storage option when you first connect the USB to your unit and not PC suite like you will have done with prevoius Nokias.
