Hi

I know there are a lot of finger gestures for this browser and thery are cool, however, there is one VERY important thing missing!!

If im viewing a web page and want to grab some text how do i do it? Click and drag doesnt work as all it does is move the screen around!. WHY does Microb not support cut & Paste?

The  APPLE will accept multi touuch and thats where they have us!  Sure we can wigggle our fingers to zoom in and out BUT, If i want to copy a text area from a site there is no method to do that.

BOTTOM LINE : I want to grab some text from a web page (On a PC it would be click, drag and hilight the text!, right click, copy. JOB DONE!!)
SIMPLE! Why does Maemo have no gesture for this ? why does the basic browser have NO ability to do a simple copy/paste?

I may be ranting on about this but its not rocket science! just the ability to to use the stylus to highlight text and copy it to the clipboard or even a file would be usefull!!!

The old iPaq used to be able to do this so why cant maemo??? All i want to do is copy some text from a web page to the clipboard then paste it into a .TXT file so i can move it out to another machine and print it. Why does MicroB not support highlighting?

This is a very BASIC task that is letting the web browser down!! I have only used microb so far but am a bit sceptical about others as they seem to focus on zooming above the cut/paste functionality!

Can anyone suggest a browser that i can use the copy/paste function in without the stylus just moving my screen around?

Any help would be good!

Cheers Guys

You need the stylus simply because text is small. I don't see why you're freaking out just owing to something so small...

ok, so copy & paste isnt important? duh!! If i want to copy and paste an article to email to a friend is that not important? Obviously you dont use your n900 to its full capability! copy & paste is a BASIC function and it SHOULD be supported! it IS on other OSs so why not the basic browser. All I want to know is what browser supports it? Do you honestly think that is too much tol ask? every other OS supports it!!!

I didn't say copy paste isn't important. I said text is small, so Nokia makes sure you use the stylus so that there is no confusion between scrolling and clipboard action.
