ok, now we all know that the google chromium has been removed from the devels for legal reasons, but come on thats an open source software, well webkit is owned by apple and we have a webkit browser there, ironic.
anyway back to the subject, i've tried, lately, to install the google chromium after a fresh reflash, i was a bit lost, but thanks to the guys back at nokia discussions i did find my way to get this great browser on my n900.
first of all you need to download the chromium_5.0.369.2-maemo4_armel.deb from this link http://maemo.jacekowski.org/pool/free/c/chromium/
,but don't install it just yet you need to enable devels, than go to x-terminal and run the following commands ( you need root access so install the package rootsh from extras )
with these following commands you will install libxss1 and no you can't see this package in the appmanager, and yes you need this package to install the chromium.
apt-get install libxss1
and than install the .deb chromium file downloaded before, and your good to go .
side note : on an overclocked device the flash quality on this browser is way better than microB, its close to flash 10.
