In no particular order, I'd say mine are as follows:

Pidgin.
Sure, I've not yet worked out how to upgrade it, but the downgraded version has pretty much everything I need for mobile chat. I'm only really using it for msn myself, but it's yet to give me any hassles, and it's plugin capability is great (adding the taskbar plugin, for example, means when you close it, it's still running in your taskbar until you properly exit, a lifesaver!). It also hints at later support for webcam, and VoIP, but these functions on my older version don't quite work yet.

Password Safe.
Clean, simple, password protected, and very secure, what more can you ask for to hold your passwords? You can group passwords into handy sections (such as work, personal, etc), too. The only downside is changing the windows will make it ask you for the password again, and if you change it a few times you have to enter it in a few times! Good security idea, miss-applied?

Conky.
Just think 'Task Manager' but for Maemo. Handy at knowing how the system's coping with the 35 applications you have open (Yes, I've seen 35 applications open at once!)!

Gonvert.
If, like me, you dismiss the metric system, and even dismiss the 'modern' imperial system, preferring to use such measurements as 'Links', a program like Gonvert is essential! It converts pretty much anything to anything, and the amount of convertible things it has is staggering.

N900Fly.
Best. Program. Ever.

Auto disconnect
Disconnect the N900 from 3g/GRPS/WIFI when there's no internet being used. Good to get a few extra hours off the battery.

Call Blocker
Block calls based on a Blacklist. Great to block irritating sales calls

QuickPanorama
Create panoramic shots on your N900 without having to manually stitch photos together.

Wordpress for Maemo
Great for blogging on the Move from the makers of Wordpress. These are still pre-release builds available as deb for the N900.

Vagalume
If you have a last.fm subscription, this application is great for getting your music fix on the move.

N900Fly.
Best. Program. Ever.

Ha haaaa Grin
Yeah, I agree. Not gonna risk playing it though Tongue

Mine are:

1. Bluetooth dial-up networking
Allows you to use the N900 for tethering.

2. Desktop Photo Slideshow Widget
Puts a nice slideshow in a window on your desktop.

3. DiskUsage.
Nice little app that gives a graphical display of your drives and how much space is used/free.

4. fAPN
Allows you to create new APN's as and when you need them.

5. liqflow.
Makes nice swirling patterns from pixels which react to the accelerometer and when you touch/swipe the screen.

1) Catorise - sorts the programobjects of the installed programs in folders, in a sensible way

2) gPodder - Manage/watch downloaded/streamed video/audio podcasts. I also use gPodder on my openSUSE desktop and the clients is able to sync their descriptionslists online through the gpodder.net server. That functionality still needs a bit of work,

3) Notes - The bundled test-editor, I use it for most of the writing - Abiword still isn't quite good enough. But usually I copy-paste the text from Notes and into Abiword, for saving it as odt.

4) Xchat - IRC client, the UI is not adapted to the Hildon UI, but it works just fine.

5) FeedingIt - RSS client utilising the interface quite good (RSS looks like Xchats long lost step brother, which hasn't been designed for the Hildon).

1. Dexter

Brings Text tv to your phone. Essential to find sports news freshly here in finland Smiley

2. eCoach

Measures all training activity for me and it is easy to upload to HeiaHeia.com to keep track on weekly trainings.

3. Opera Browser

Great browser to use with N900. It lacks flash but that is not a weakness since I seldomly visit sites with flash content.

4. Tweego

Twitter updates right from N900

5. Pidgin.

Messenger, IRC, ICQ on the same spot. Handy when you are on the move.
