Well I've had a similar problem with music downloads.  Being a daft loyal Nokia person, I downloaded an album via the Ovi Music store to my laptop.  That was fine.

Then with clinched teeth and buttocks I tried to transfer the file via PC Suite.  I connected via USB and used the correct mode and attempted to drag and drop into the PC suite mobile box/window.  Nil Points.

So I then tried simply locating the music file on my laptop and saving it to the "removable disc".  It worked!  I was smiling like a donkey with a juicey carrot.  I was even beaming when I located the album file on my N900 device.

But when I tried to play the music............"Cannot play due to copyright".

It truly feels like a marathon to do anything with Nokia software like pc suite.

@Matty

So in answer to you question about where to drag the movie files from; well I guess you need to locate the files from your pc/laptop and then drag over to the pc suite.  But don't hold your breath eh.

theres an app called zoutube u can find it in app manager its let u watch and download video clips ......but if u want to do it the other way u have to install a downloader to ur pc so u can download clips from youtube and after that u need to install a converter to convert plash video to mp4 cause video from youtube is FLV format and then send it to ur phone via USB and there u go

I have similar issues with copyright.  Also, I can't seem to connect the phone to OVI Music....there is no option on my phone to select correct connection method.  Only Mass Storage and PC Suite....HELP!!!

the easiest way i find is to connect to pc/laptop in 'mass storage' mode,then:
1# select the music or movie you want on your device
2# copy/paste or drag and drop into the relivent folder e.g .sounds(music) .video(video) or..
3# same as above but put it straight into the root of memory card(if you have one on phone)
   enjoy  Grin

Recently on quite a few dvds i have been buying on the extras it says it includes a free digital copy of the movie to download to a portable device, i presume this means i can transfer the movie onto my N900 and wont have trouble with copyright as i have already paid for my copy. I will try doing this transfer via my laptop then the mass storage mode . Like most users on this forum i aint a whizz kid so its all trial and error until i get it right
