is it really necessary to pay for a $30 license for "documents to go" when one would expect that this should be part of the basic package to view word, excel, ppt files when one buys a new mobile phone??? seems like a rip off to me....is there a way around this?....D

You can crack it, but that's illegall.

You can use a FREEWARE alternative, althought slower at starting, it is a complete DESKTOP Office suite. It's called OpenOffice, and you can put it installling Easy Debian (available on Extras-Devel if i'm not wrong). It comes with LXDE environment, etc, and it will not replace your hildon (normal desktop).
