Google Docs and Google Calendar on the Nokia N900

16 November 2009Entry by

N900 GoogleFor some reason I still get surprise every time I find something about the Nokia N900 that It shouldn’t surprise me knowing the power and the capacities of this device. Having full internet it´s something that I have already pointed it out quite a lot every time that I talk about the Nokia N900 and the internet browser. But this time I got surprised when seeing this video.

It’s about a Nokia N900 running on the web browser the Google Calendar and Google Docs! And it isn’t a reduce version, not at all. You are capable of doing everything that you could do on your desktop computer, such as creating new events, seeing all your different calendars, etc. This means that you could not need to synchronize your Nokia N900 calendar with your Google Calendar or other. Only with a internet connection available, you could check out your events on the Google Calendar.

Even more, you are also able to use Google Docs. Checking your Word, Excel and PowerPoint’s files on your “mobile” phone, could you imagine that? I know that it isn’t something new to read this kind of files on some mobile phones, but from Google Docs it´s. Besides your could edit them or create a new one, everything on line!

You would see that on the video the Nokia N900 is a little slow on doing something, but It’s a preproduction Nokia N900 and the guy is running like 10 pages at the same time, heavy pages!
