Nokia N900 Wallpapers – The Series

3 March 2010Entry by samuel 8 Comments

In these following reviews, I will write about wallpapers specially made for the Nokia N900. Sometimes I will also post my own custom made backgrounds, and today I will start with one, which I made sometimes ago for my phone. I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 to edit a snapshot of my virtual bookshelf and cropped it to 4 pics with 800 pixels width and 480 pixels height. You can download the pics and use them if you like to.

Here’s a screenshot of how it looks on the phone:

I named this one woodshelfs.

For installing the wallpapers as a looping background, please follow the instructions from my post N900 Backgrounds – How To Make A Wallpaper By Yourself. The other way to put wallpapers into a loopable background is to change the background picture on every single desktop screen. It will have the same effect, but it is much more work.

Please discribe your problem! Post the desktop file which you used. I think there might be the reason.
You have to copy all pictures and the desktop file into the images folder on your phone.

Hey, nice bookshelfs! remind me of the apple bookshelf, in better ;)
Is it normal you put as images number 1, 3, 3 again and 4, no number 2?
    Thx anyway, i love them!

I saved woodshelf1 on my pc then sent as an email attachement to my my ovi email. accessed ovi email and opened attatchment then I selected as my background, idiotically on 2 of them and then accidentlt on my 3rd one. I can change theme or desktop background on only one desktop. i am unable to change desktop background on 3 desktops that have woodshelf1. I have restored factory settings, nothing happened. still 3 backgrounds with woodshelf background. I restored backed up settings from a previous month, still nothing happened. finally after talking to vodafone upon their advice i formatted my nokia n900 hardrive. still there. the pic is not even in my phone now. surely there has to be a way to remove this background. i have searched entire google, forums trying to get some answers. just dont know wat to do anymore.
