Since the N900 is 110.9 mm wide and should be mounted horisontally to make use of all features like GPS and keyboard etc, it would be nice to see a proper picture of this.
Hi Ulf. Unfortunately our supplier does not give us live pictures of the accessory, but we do know that it is tested with the N900, otherwise we wouldn’t sell it.

1. Can you tell me if this car holder for the N900 allows the keyboard to be opened up whilst it is in the holder?
2. Also is the ‘goose neck’ very sturdy and does it hold it’s shape well? Can you confirm the length of the goose neck too please?

I’ve received this holder today, came directly from China. First impressions are really good! N900 fits perfectly, suction mount is quite strong and swivel head seems to be reliable. Also, it is possible to slide the N900 keyboard out while mounted!
The only bit that worries me is material – plastic seems to be a bit “soft” so there might be some wobbly action while car driving (didn’t test that yet). Proper pictures: http://bit.ly/9eT4Um
Just a feedback – Excellent quality stuff (I ordered the covers and car mobile holder) – It was delivered within 10 days.

The review above about car mobile holder is similar to my observation, though it is pretty robust even in the roads here in India where there is not much smooth ride, it never fell off and kept the phone safely tucked in!

Is it possible to plug in the AUX cable while N900 is in the holder?
As in the holder doesn’t cover it? Same goes for the usb connector?
Unless you put it upside down, you can’t. As you see in the picture, the support sections actually might cover the N900′s ports.

It is a generic accessory. As you can see from the image, the charger cannot enter the phone when it is placed on the holder.

I ordered this holder and then I read in the comments how you can’t plug in 3.5mm jack and usb charger. My holder looks exactly like the one on the picture and I can plug in both without any problem or modification. You can also see the 3.5mm jack uncovered on the picture of the second holder for 12.99.And you can’t open keyboard while in the holder. You can see that also from the pictures.
