I have no worries now, since I am a WordPress user so know I can do my work from anywhere on the N900. Originally there was MaStory for Nokia N900 which did make life easy but also hard in the same time. The user had to get used to MaStory and it was actually hard for first time users but now, control your blogging any where possible or at any place you are.
How does WordPress work on the Nokia N900?
I mean what if your boss calls up at holidays and says “Fix this please, fix that please…”
You don’t have access to a computer with internet but have a Nokia N900 and use WordPress but also have access to a Wifi connection. It is life made easy. So its a computer in the palm of your hands!
You won’t find this application in the Ovi Store or Maemo Application Catalogs.
How to get it?
Enable the Maemo extras-devel catalog and download WordPress now.
What should I do to get WordPress?
Download the .deb package of the WordPress client. If you download it using your N900, then save it to your Documents folder. If you are downloading it with your PC then save it somewhere handy then connect your N900 via your USB cable in PC Suite Mode and copy it to the Documents folder.
The X-Terminal must be opened to enter the following commands, hitting Enter after each line.
> sudo gainroot
> apt-get install libqt4-maemo5-webkit
> apt-get install libqt4-maemo5-svg
> apt-get install libqt4-maemo5-dbus
> cd MyDocs/.documents/
> dpkg -i WordPress_0.5.1b.deb
That is also that you need to to be able to blog from the palm of your hands.
Now get blogging!

Some time ago Sam posted review of MaStory blogging client. This time I’ve encoutered native WordPress client in extras-devel catalogue.
Apart from MaStory it’s dedicated only for WordPress users, just like me. Just one blogging system makes it more tailored for that purpose and nice WordPress look. It allows to add pictures straight from your N900, so you can simplify this task and you don’t need to transfer them through your PC anymore. As quite complete blogging client it also allows moderate comments, approve, trash or mark as spam. As for me it’s quite complete solution.
So now I can just go to see my friends, have a chat about more and less important things and in the mean time I can go with the flow and finish my post while sitting in tram or walking through the park.

Altough there aren’t so many official applications which are available in the Ovi Store or in the Maemo download section (not mentioned the countless programs, that come with the testing and the devel section), I have already established three of my favorite apps to my own personal list. I have written about them in earlier posts, so you can get more information about the programs by clicking the links. I decided to list useful applications in my point of view, such I am using for my everyday job.
On the third place, I placed BlueMaemo. Presentations can be controlled directly from your N900, which is the essential task I use it for, and makes it really a good alternative to the mac remote-control. And as a nice side-effect, people are very astonished about the way I am showing my content.
Second I choosed Evernote. I really don’t want to miss it anymore. It is not really a native application on the phone (it just opens in the browser, and I do not use it that way), but with the instant messaging plugin you can post your thoughts, ideas, photos and everthing else right to your Evernote account to edit the notes later on your desktop pc, mac, whatever, assumed you have installed the Evernote software on your working station. Just brilliant.
At least on place one, is the blogging app MaStory. This is really my number one favourite. I love to write my articles independent of where I am, and post them from everywhere. This app just works great and at that so simple to use. I have the full overview over my writings, publications or drafts, mediauploads and comments, categories and tags.
So tell me, which apps you like the most.

Today I found the application MaStory in the Maemo download section. The description sounded very interesting and so I thought I should give it a try and installed it directly to my N900 from the application manager.
Normaly when I write or edit my text I use my notebook, but this app is phenomenal. I am writing these lines straight from my N900 for the first time and I am really astonished. It does not need any explaination, everything is logical and on the right place.
Create an account with your logins in the settings. You can possibly create a lot of accounts but at this time MaStory supports WordPress, Livejournal, Blogger and Drupal. Then just start writing your blog. There are several settings which helps you to edit or configure your text. Choose your predefined categories. Also picupload is just a tap on the camera icon; choose your pic or screenshot right from your phone, and paste it into your story. Edit the size of the picture, crop, rotate or flip it, to fit it into your text. Flickr and picasa are supported too, as well as a straight upload function to the media gallerie of your blog. Edit earlier writings directly on your phone. All this is possible with MaStory.
Fact is, MaStory is a very powerful blogging tool. I started to like it right from the installation. I think I’m gonna write my blogs only with MaStory anymore.

Having a Blog up-to-date is not easy for most of the people, including me. That’s why some developers have come up with the solution of creating apps for smartphone in order to able the bloggers to blog-as-you-go. However, none of this mobile blog tools was absolute complete because some were not compatible with most common blog software like WordPress, Blogger, etc. or didn’t have all the tools needed to post like Tags, or Image uploading, etc. That’s why it seems that the Nokia N900 is not only revolution the mobile word as MaStory app has understood all this known issues and the blogger’s needs.
MaStory is an application that allows you to blog from your Nokia N900. It’s compatible with WordPress, Blogger, Live Journal and Drupal and it seems to be the best of its kind according to most of the bloggers, including for the iPhone. MaStory app makes the difference because it packs a varied set of features on a mobile platform such as HTML tags, Image uploading or Flickr or Picasa images, external link addition, Categorising/Tagging, post-editing, posts management, Comments management among others.
Screenshoots
