The popular aMSN – Messenger Client – comes to Nokia N900

16 November 2009Entry by

aMSN LogoIt is very important to decide which MSN Messenger client is important to install on the Nokia N900. The popular messaging client aMSN quite popular on Linux, something that some people do not understand for some reason, comes to the new Nokia N900. Nokia N900 with aMSN for the first time on Maemo story? Actually this is half truth.

The aMSN already existed in Maemo 4, which the development team has done is to update a little interface and adapt it to the upgraded Nokia’s N900 OS – Maemo 5 – (in the end remains an installable Debian package). aMSN is a version already available for Maemo compatible with the N900, if you’re the lucky ones who have one in your hand now.

Moving into the personal opinion let me point that I don’t understand how someone can use this application, N900 comes with a client Google Talk / Jabber included, of course, aMSN has support for many IM networks. But I’m not here to judge anyone, just to inform you about everything related with the Nokia N900, cause we are Maemo and N900 addicted!!!
